Happy Holidays

Sam told me not to call this a "Christmas card" even though it's in Christmas colors.

Teeths

I just found out that my toothpaste isn't approved by the ADA. I need new toothpaste.
I was also going to post a close-up picture of me brushing my teeth. For my reader's (Sam's) sake, I decided not to.

Mouse Hunt

This is Theo. He's a mouse that Jessica and I got a few weeks ago. He used to have a brother but his brother was way to mean to him so tried to take him back to the pet store. However, he escaped from his temporary home and now lives somewhere inside our apartment. Lucky us. I tried looking for him for about a week but then lost interest. Anyway, it's hard for me to love any rodent besides my Ben. But I like this guy. In this picture he looks like Ben's late brother, Garcia.

Heck Yes!

I took some advice from the Blogger forum and now I have my photo options back! It had something to do with the cookies. So here's an update:

  • I freaked out and broke the flashlight when I got home and the garbage disposal wasn't working.
  • Then I put up some Christmas lights:
  • I hax0red a Architecture in Helsinki album.
  • Jessica and I cleaned the rest of the apartment. It smells/looks so much nicer.

So, I'm sitting in the living room and the maintenance man is in the kitchen fixing the garbage disposal. He just told me that the disposal broke because there were rocks in it. He then looked over at the fish tank. So I pretty much broke the disposal since I was not careful when washing the rocks from the fish tank.

Madison, WI

I found this picture of Madison, WI on Wikipedia. The University of Wisconsin at Madison has a really good public affairs program (best in the nation, says U.S. News). I've also been quite obsessed with Russ Feingold. He's my new hero. I'm just in a Wisconsinite mood.

Alive!

My fish are alive and healthy (hopefully) after five days of not eating. I tried to buy an automatic fish feeder at Petco since I wouldn't be home to feed them during Thanksgiving break. The Petco guy (who was at our party) said not to buy one because the fish would be ok. Except I told him I would only be gone for three days because I was thinking Jake would feed them on Friday or Saturday. However, I never told Jake about the change in plans. They're all ok though! Even the Chinese fish (not picture).
In other news, Ben has destroyed another pair of pajama bottoms. This time he ruined Sam's pajama bottoms. This is how Sam is going to find out. I'm not going to tell him. SORRY BEEBEE!
CAUGHT RED HANDED!
But, I still love him.

Happy Thanksgiving

My Brother decided this would be his Thanksgiving pose. The pose for this picture is actually toned down a little because my mom kept yelling at him. The pose usually includes a finger pointing at the person he's with. For example:
And that pretty much sums up Thanksgiving.

Needs

This thing is taking over my life. I want to find it. I need to find it. It's kind of exciting in a nerdy way. The last time I did something like this was when I needed a Furby. I finally got a Furby after calling every toy store in the Bay Area. However, Furby fell down the stairs shortly after I purchased him and I needed a new one. This is bringing back sad memories for me.

Ouch

This is a picture of my finger two seconds after I put a new band-aid on it. I cut it when I was washing the dishes from the Saturday night party. This is the second time in two months that I've seriously cut my finger. It usually takes two weeks to heal. This is annoying because it gets in the way of writing, working, and typing. I'm frustrated.

Trains and Car Alarms

Here's the context to this note: There's a car parked in the parking lot that this other apartment complex shares with our parking lot. Every time a train goes by I hear the noise of what I've determined to be the warning noises for this guy's car that has one of those cheap and annoying car alarms. After a few warning noises the full alarm goes off. Sometimes a train will pass with just the warning noises. However, the full alarm usually goes off at least two or three times a night. Now, I understand that some car alarms are sensitive. However, this guy parks his car in the closest parking spot to the train tracks. Our parking lot is perpendicular to the train tracks so all he needs to do is park his car at the other end of the parking lot and I'm sure that would keep his alarm from going off every two goddamn seconds. But no. He doesn't. He keeps in parked in the same place every night. NO ONE IS GOING TO STEAL YOUR PIECE OF SHIT CAR! NO ONE! So I wrote this note with the intentions of putting it on his car tomorrow. I figure the best thing to do is wake up really early and do it or just have Jessica do it. These apartments are for low-income families so it's not some snobby college student. I'm pretty scared of getting caught.

An Act of God

I was talking to my mom tonight about how unhappy I am and how stressful everything is in my life right now. After I got off the phone with her, I reached down and picked up a paper thinking it was the paper I had written my hours for work on. Turns out it was the registration for my car that I had been looking for for weeks. I don't know how it got there. I really don't care at this point. I'm so happy that it's found and I don't have to pay another $139 for it. I'm still in shock.

War

This is really unfair. A cat and a lamb vs. a horse, a dog, a monkey, a frog, a rabbit and a rat-like thing? Maybe it would be fair if the horse and the lamb switched sides.

The Animal Hierarchy

Ben (The Rat)

The Three Goldfish and The Fancy GoldfishFunny (The Beta)
Eellie (The Chinese(?) Fish)Theo and the Yet to Be Named Mouse

What?

I've had this clock for a while now and I never realized that when it's 12am the clock says "0." Maybe it hasn't always been on military time. I really have no idea how the clock works. It's currently five minutes fast. I'm too scared to fix it because I've had Sam's voice recorded on it for over a year now. Don't want to lose that.

Friday, November 10, 2006

I decided to start out the day with a dip in my parent's hot tub. I woke up with a headache (like always) so I felt the best thing to do was relax. I also took 1.5 Excedrin pills. I'm trying to slowly come off the Excedrin since I've gone cold turkey with the Red Bulls. I sort of felt as though I shouldn't be in the hot tub alone seeing as I've had health problems all week. I'm always afraid of fainting and drowning in the hot tub. However, Rollee was there watching over me. I wanted something to read while in the hot tub but the only books I brought home were books to study for my POL 105 midterm. So I read Congress Reconsidered.

Compare and Contrast

This is the (new?) cat that lives next door to my parents. She/he was watching me clean my car out from the garage window.

This is Rollee. She's quite fat and sweet.

Little swinger your bottle is thinking too much.

This is the behind of a little yellow stuffed dog named Sir Jangles. Sir Jangles was given to me at the Yolo County Fair in 2005. I once drove from Ukiah to Pacifica because I left Sir Jangles at a friend's house. He's that important. He's recently been having some issues with the sewing on his butt, so I patched him all up about a week ago.

It's the moment that you're living in and not the one that follows.

Today started out with a visit to the emergency room. I missed my midterm for POL 105 and my SOC 131 class where I had a paper due. However, I'm able to make everything up on Monday. Turns out I have Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease. I have my Prilosec so all is good now.

New Idea

I am now going to post a picture each day.

Update

Blogger Beta is now working.

First Blog Ever

I only got this blog because I wanted to make comments on my boyfriend's blog. He changed the settings so anyone could leave comments. Now I have a blog even though I don't truely need one. I would say this is my fourth or fifth time having a blog. This one will last.

Hi Sam.
